Cats and socks

One or both of my cats is/are fond of stealing socks and carrying them around the house. It can be a pair of socks not yet put away, a clean sock from the "odd socks looking for partners" pile, or (rarely) a dirty sock from the pile that gets started when the laundry basket hasn't made its way upstairs from the laundry room. The socks usually turn up on the main floor, though they also appear on stairs or in the pustairs hallway. When there are absolutely no socks to be found, the cats(s) make do with balls of wool from the craft stash by my bed.

He badgers people who are sitting on the chair next to me until they get up and let him have it.

when I have guests, she'll stick her head in their shoes, up to the shoulders, winter boots are even better.

Simon likes to lick any bare skin available but only when a person is asleep or trying to sleep. This is his cuddle time. His favourite past time started when I would give him my hand to lick (as opposed to anywhere else) and being grossed out by it would wipe it off on him. He turned this into a face washing game and would turn his head so that I could "clean" a particular spot ie ears, under chin etc. He figured out to lick particular parts of the hand depending where he wanted his face cleaned. For example finger tips are great for jaw lines and base of fingers is better for his forehead. Eventually I have to hide my arms and hands under the covers so I can get back to sleep.

when treacle was little, she adored dragging my socks, underwear and bras out (embarassing when guests are over). we finally compromised and she has two desginated pairs of scks that are 'hers' of course, she's now into pipecleaners (she plays fetch). funniest moment was when she was about two punds and was dragging a full sized uber-big bath sheet around :) it weighed more than she did! she got it from teh bathroom to teh bedroom though. i was impressed.

my cats tend to the quirky :) i like cats that have character. i shoudl tell more stories on them...
