I'm looking for thoughts on value for money, usefulness, or just general why something you acquired or did for yourself was awesome.
Mine was the purchase of a pair of jade earrings at the Museum of Civilization. SMall balls, hypoallergenic, good backs, about $6.00. I wear green a lot and like to coordinate my jewelry. I wear them, on average, at least once a week.

The discount DVD player that takes thumb drives and plays avis and mp3s. No more burning CDs that don't work $100.
Boggs Rubber Boots. They were warm enough for the winter and water proof. They were more expensive that $10 boots from walmart but definite value for money.
