Gourmet Magazine's 2004 recipe for Green Tomato Soup is to die for! I doubled the recipe and I know it won't be enough. If you have green tomatoes, just Google it.
The whole main floor is redolent of German plum cake - thick layer of plums cooked into a sweet yeast dough, then sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon. I hope I'll be able to sleep without sneaking down for a snack.
